It is possible to keep in a common aquarium with peaceful non-carnivorous fish, or in a separate tank. Feels great in a wide range of pH and dH values. The design should provide for a sufficient number of reliable shelters, for example, hollow ceramic tubes, vessels, where shrimps can hide during molting.

They feed on all types of food supplied to aquarium fish. They will pick up fallen food. Herbal supplements should be additionally served in the form of slices of cucumber, carrots, lettuce, spinach and other vegetables. Otherwise, shrimp can switch to plants. Should not be kept together with other shrimp as crossbreeding and hybrids are possible.
