kinaiya

The Bulgarian Hound is a hunting breed of dog that is smart, friendly and makes perfect pets. Representatives of the breed are very popular among residents of large Bulgarian cities for their cheerful disposition.

The history of the Bulgarian hound dates back tens of centuries – its ancestors lived on the Balkan Peninsula even before our era. During the period of antiquity, the Greek and Thracian tribes living on the peninsula domesticated them and used them for hunting. These hounds were highly appreciated by the Turks during the Ottoman rule in Bulgaria. The secret of the success of this breed is its developed sense of smell, comparable only to the scent of the Bloodhound, and full involvement in the hunting process.

Hunting with Bulgarian hounds turned into a real show: the dogs not only pursued the victim, but also barked piercingly, trying to catch and kill her before the owner. It is important to note the speed and agility of this breed of dogs, which were vital to her when meeting with wild pigs.

Today, the Bulgarian Hound is more valued for its playful nature. These dogs are ready to run and chase the toy around the clock. They get along well with children and can protect family members from ill-wishers. Being very loyal and loving animals, these hounds are not at all jealous and live comfortably in the same house with other pets.

It is necessary to start training the Bulgarian hound from early childhood, so that the dog learns the rules of behavior in human society as early as possible. Representatives of this breed easily remember new commands, and the desire to please the owner makes them perform them.

Pag-atiman

The Bulgarian hound has a thick short coat that does not require any complex and specific care. It is enough to comb it out with a special trimming brush (with frequent bristles) to remove dead hairs and street dust. It is enough to do it once a week. The dog has hanging ears, the inner surface of which is important to gently wipe every day to remove excess moisture and thereby prevent the development of infections.

The Bulgarian Hound is a dog with fairly good health. However, she may also suffer from certain genetic diseases, such as hip dysplasia, various types of dermatitis, and some stomach problems. Representatives of this breed are advised to refrain from active activities, games and training for 2-3 hours after eating. Otherwise, they may have volvulus.

Mga kondisyon sa detensyon

Subject to regular and active walks, the Bulgarian Hound can live in a city apartment. However, even a house with its own yard does not mean that the dog does not need to walk a lot. This is a mobile, playful and curious dog – it will not be enough for her to be in the same environment all day long. For walks, choose new routes, come up with different games so that the dog does not get bored.

If the Bulgarian Hound spends a lot of time in the yard unattended, then the fence needs to be strengthened, as dogs of this breed tend to dig. Also, these pets have an excellent sense of smell, which allows you to notice other animals behind the fence, which can also lead to an escape.
